Big Erik cos I met him as a kid and he was a nice bloke. Gough was a wonderful player, but we didn't see enough of him. Likewise Ziege - what a player he was - just too injured, but was always glad to see him in the team. The rest are no brainers for me. Hoddle was my hero , Waddle a close second (hence the username) and Lineker edges Klinsmann and Berbatov for greater loyalty, and Teddy might have got it if he didn't come back for a second go when he was too old.
I'm only 20 so since about 1993/1994 is really the furthest back I can remember.
Goalkeeper : Ian Walker Centreback : Gary Mabbutt Fullback : YP Lee/BAE Midfielder : Michael Carrick Winger : David Ginola Striker : Teddy Sheringham/Dimitar Berbatov/Jurgen Klinsmann/Robbie Keane. I can't be forced to decide between those four. Although Berbs would have the edge. Just.
A notable mention goes to Chris Armstrong. Other also rans include Ziege, Edman, Defoe, Thorsvedt.

I consider it a privelege to have watched that little lot play - but so hard to leave out Mike England, Danny Blanchflower, Paul Gascoigne, Archie, Lineker, Ginola, Cliff Jones and Gillie.
I'd just like to point out these are my favourites, not necessarily the best.
My only criteria is entertainment and these are the ones who I have enjoyed watching the most (although not always for the right reasons).
